I wanted to touch on very important message. Newborn photos aren’t just for mom and dad. They are for your child to look back on and cherish for the rest of their life. I have 4 kids, (11, 10, almost 2, and 1) when my oldest two were born newborn photography wasn’t really a thing. They both got the really cheesy hospital pictures and I remember taking them to a local studio (one that did not specialize in anything). With my last two babies I knew I wanted newborn photos from an amazing photographer out of Indianapolis, Rachel Vanoven. I saved my money and when the time came I traveled 8 hours to have our session done ( 2 times in less than 2 years). The photos I have from both of those sessions are truly priceless. There is absolutely nothing in this world that compares to having newborn photos. (in my opinion of course 🙂 ) It really does break my heart that I don’t have those types of photos for my oldest children. I don’t have a photo of them curled up so tiny in my arms, or their dads arms. The reason I know this is so important is because my two oldest children pull out the photo albums ALL OF THE TIME. They constantly look at the pictures of them as a newborn and growing up.
I guess the main point in this blog is to really help you understand the importance of photographing your new sweet baby. Your children will love it just as much if not more than you do. It gives them a glimpse into what and who you were at the time of their birth. It allows them to see how incredibly small they were in their fathers hands. It shows them that they are truly the most important thing to have ever happened to you. It shows them so much love.
How sweet was this sweet momma and her girl?
